An event like this is important for two things - one it is a platform where we get to exchange ideas and of course meet new people as well. I felt that interest is there for plastics recycling and also the conference gave me a lot of new perspectives to think about. My experience here has been incredible!

I represent waste pickers from Pune. I also represent the Swachh Cooperatives and KPKP, Trade Union. I am glad that such exhibitions are being organised. Most of the recyclers you see here are working on rigid plastics, or on PET within rigid. Going forward there is a lot of scope in bridging the gaps in flexible plastics and multi-layered plastics. Perhaps a gap that can be addressed by events like this by bringing in more government stakeholders, policy makers and innovations in the way waste is collected.

It's great to be at the Plastics Recycling Show India. We have participated at the Plastics Recycling Show Europe a few times and it's so great to see the same energy here. All the industries are coming together in India where the circular economy is taking off. So a lot of action and so excited for the few days here in Mumbai.
