Community initiatives, recyclers and technology innovators shortlisted for Plastics Recycling Awards India 2026
Winners to be announced at Plastics Recycling Show India
The finalists for this year’s Plastics Recycling Awards India have been revealed. The winners in each category will be announced at the Plastics Recycling Show India 2026, taking place from 31 August to 2 September at the Bombay Exhibition Center, Mumbai.
The seven award categories are Best Community Effort for Recycling, Plastics Recycling Company, Recycled Plastic Product, Recycled Plastic Packaging Product, Technology and Innovation, EPR Leadership and Plastics Recycling Ambassador.
This year’s shortlist highlights the growing breadth of India’s plastics recycling ecosystem, from grassroots community collection initiatives to advanced sorting technologies and high quality recycled-content products.
“What stands out this year is the breadth of innovation,” said Taher Patrawala, Managing Director of Media Fusion. “The finalists show that recycling in India is no longer defined only by collection volumes. It is increasingly about design, traceability, investment, technology and partnerships across the value chain.”
“Awards like these help identify where real progress is being made,” said Matt Barber, Director of Global Trade Shows at Crain Communications. “India is becoming an increasingly important market in the global plastics recycling conversation, and this year’s finalists show how quickly capability and ambition are developing.”
The shortlist spans community-led recovery programmes, recycling companies, recycled-content products, packaging applications and technology solutions, reflecting the increasingly diverse approaches being used to scale plastics circularity across India.
