Ganesh Karankal serves as the Director India (Plastics Division) at Lindner Washtech GmbH, headquartered in Austria and Germany and Local office in India.

In this role, he is responsible for developing sustainable recycling solutions for the waste and plastics industry in India and the SAARC countries.

Educational Background:

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from SSJCET Mumbai University.
• Master of Technology in Machine Design from VIT Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad.
• Sales & Marketing Management with a Grade A from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode.
• Organizational Leadership 4.0 from IIM Kozhikode.

Professional Experience:

He has over 13 years of Professional Experience in Plastic packaging and Recycling industry which covers the entire spectrum of Packaging and Recycling Technology.

On the Circular Economy and Sustainability front he has been working for the past 9 years on addressing the issues of the damage caused to the Environment.

Working with Lindner Washtech Germany as a Sales Director India and Responsible for India and SAARC Countries. He is also supporting Indian Recyclers by advising and supplying the Advanced Washing and Presorting technology those include recycling for Post Consumer for film, rigid plastics for food grade and PET for Bottle to bottle washing technology.

Closely working with PET and rHDPE Bottle to bottle recycling projects in India.

Prior to joining Lindner, he has served in multiple multinational advanced recycling technology and well established in Indian Market. He has gained in depth knowledge on Indian Recycling market and advanced technology to produce high quality output recycled plastic material.

Combining with his experience and knowledge and latest Lindner washing technology, he hopes to be a strong support for Indian recycling Industry with rapidly developing and changing market conditions.

1. Pioneering Technology:

    Introduced the first European washing technology in India for plastic recycling for PET bottle to bottle and PO Rigid application ,     setting a new standard in sustainable plastic management.

2. Strategic Collaboration:

    Established the first battery casing washing plant in India in with Amara Raja Battery (AMARON), advancing the recycling of     battery materials.

3. UMIKA Foundation:

    Founded the UMIKA FOUNDATION, initiating plastic collection facilities and tree plantation activities, resulting in the planting of     approximately 10,600 plants to date, promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility.

4. Awards & Recognitions:

    Received the Innovation Leader Award 2024 from the World Innovation Congress for outstanding contributions to innovation.
