Garima Mishra is the Chief Advisor, South Asia, Alliance to End Plastic Waste, a global non-profit organisation established in 2019 to help end plastic waste in the environment and advance a circular economy for plastics. She has diverse experience as a development and environment sector professional. She is responsible for nurturing membership network, stakeholder engagement and project management in the South Asian region.
In her career spanning 18 years she has been closely working with diverse stakeholders like Central Ministries, State Governments, Funding Agencies, Industry, Urban Local Bodies and Communities. She started her career with Confederation of Indian Industry, and has since then worked in the consulting space, managing projects across States like Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Assam.
Her area of work includes Plastic Waste Circular Economy, Waste Management, Urban Infrastructure, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Clean India Mission), Biodiversity, Forestry, and livelihood promotion. She holds a master’s degree in Environmental Studies and Natural Resource Management from The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), New Delhi.
